Biography
Dr. Charis Sporikis graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH). He began his professional career at the “AGIA MARINA” Neuropsychiatric Clinic in Komotini, where he served for three years as a general practitioner, gaining significant experience across a wide spectrum of mental disorders.
Subsequently, he completed his residency in Psychiatry at the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki, receiving specialized training in the management of acute psychiatric cases, Liaison Psychiatry, and Supportive Psychotherapy. Following the completion of his residency, he continued to offer his services at the same hospital as a senior clinical fellow (resident on extension).
Since 2023, he has been practicing as a Specialist Psychiatrist at EOPAE (formerly OKANA) within the Integrated Addiction Treatment Unit (MOTHE) of the “PAPANIKOLAOU” General Hospital of Thessaloniki, as well as at the Day Center – Short-term Hospitality Services of Thessaloniki. In these roles, he provides dedicated support to individuals in vulnerable situations with consistency and respect.
Dr. Sporikis is committed to continuous professional development and the provision of high-quality mental health services, guided by empathy and respect for the uniqueness of every individual. He is a member of the Hellenic Psychiatric Association, the Panhellenic Medical Association, and the Medical Association of Thessaloniki.
